Connor, better known as Calix, is a South Florida-based photographer, filmmaker, and cook whose work explores food, travel, culture, and the people and places that give them meaning.

After being scouted by a creative working on Japan’s Go Japan tourism campaign and its predecessor, he went on to contribute to tourism content commissioned through partners working with Japan’s Ministry of Tourism. That experience helped deepen an already growing interest in Japan and shaped his approach to visual storytelling.

His work today blends photography, filmmaking, food, travel, and cultural storytelling, with a particular focus on Japan and the everyday details that often get overlooked in traditional tourism imagery.
